Lisa is an author of new adult romance and writes both paranormal and contemporary, often with a 

side of snark. 

In between running a business, looking after her family and writing, Lisa sometimes finds spare 

time to do other things. This often involves swapping her book worlds for gaming worlds. She even 

leaves the house occasionally. Lisa loves all things from the Whedonverse and preferred vampires 

before they sparkled. 

Lisa has four books published: the ‘Butterfly Days’ series, and two in her urban fantasy series Soul 

Ties. She is currently working on a new contemporary romance series Blue Phoenix and the first 

book, Summer Sky is due for release in April. Lisa is originally from the UK but moved to Australia 

in 2001 and now lives in Perth in Western Australia with her husband, three children and dog.

Review

I enjoyed the second book in this series as much as I did the first one. Anna was the girl that always felt that she had to go above and beyond so that she wouldn't ever end up like she did when she was younger. Jake was the bad boy who didn't really care to much above starting a life with one person until Anna came along. Anna ex boyfriend Todd was an major a**hole and i'm glad that things worked out the way that they did. It was great catching up with the gang again and I look forward to reading the next book in this series

Review

Although his can be read as an standalone it would be good to read the first book in the series just so you can get a back story to the other characters in the book. I loved Bia in the first book and I was glad that she was getting her own story. Bia was the only girl surrounded by boys so of course she was treated differently and I understood her wanting to be free and away from her brothers and cousin. Bia braking off was a good and a bad thing because once you are the new girl and people don't understand you there will always be someone who wants to break you down. I felt that Bia could have stood up more for herself but that was because I read the first book and this was a whole other side that you got to see about Bia and that alone had me more hooked on the story. I loved Garrett and the way that he was an outsider also but he was also part of the end crowd. This was a great book about although someone can try to crush your spirit sometimes you have to realize when your battle can be won and when you need to step back. I really enjoyed this story and I loved catching up with the gang and reading more about them. I look forward to the next story in this installment

Although this is the first in the series it is set up to the point that you don't want it to end and when it does you are mad. I loved Lila and Hunter and the chemistry that they had. They were like a train wreak that was waiting to happen. This book took me through many emotions and by time I got to the end all I could say was nooooo. Now I have to wait patiently until the next volume comes out
